Here’s another old post from my multiply site dated Sep. 7, 2007:

 Keeping the Temple

Haven’t written for quite a while now. Think I’ve been in a funk or something. I just can’t get anything out of me, considering the volume of what’s inside.

Maybe because everything just clogs on their way out. Maybe I need to sort things out in head. Maybe I need time. Maybe I need rest.

Rest. Now that rings a bell. Haven’t had much physical rest lately. God rested on the 7th day after creating the world in 6. God also made Elijah rest when fear struck him when he was threatened by Jezebel. Hmmm…Who else? Oh well, that’s all this mind can think of right now.

Gotta get mine, too. I need to give His temple a break.

Lord, as the eagle renews its strength after a long flight by landing on a mountain’s summit or perching on the mountain’s tallest tree, spreading its wings, and soaking itself with the warmth of the sun’s rays, so will I, exposing myself to you, soaking myself in the tenderness of Your embrace. There I will renew my strength and soar with wings like eagles.
